Thirty tears ago, Indonesia as well as China were just like other counties full of green areas, wonderful trees and amazing forests. Due to Indonesia’s wealth of natural resources such as Gas, Oil, and metal, forests have been almost devastated. The illegal tree cutting have is a huge problem. This essay will outline the problems of the illegal logging of trees and offers solutions.
One of the main problems that caused the threat of rainforest is burning the forests. For example, around October farmers burned undergrowth to prepare land for planting. Doing this makes the region full of smog. Another problem leading to the illegal logging of trees is industrial reason. Since Indonesia is the world’s biggest exporter of paper and tropical timber furniture, the workers will have to cut countless number of trees to meet their production and exporting goals. In addition, Chinese demand for furniture skyrocketed also because of the growing market within China. Furthermore, Using woods of the rainforests for flooring also threat the future of the forests. For example, 300,000 cubic metes of Merbau wood are used in china to build floors.
Although there are many problems that put forests under threat, there are solutions which by they can be protected from the illegal logging. Planting more forests will help in increasing the timber. In addition, if china and Indonesia can import timber from legal sustainable sources, rainforests will not be gone.
All things considered, I believe that by making marketing the forests and showing people who produce and live in China and Indonesia the negatives of logging timber off. By this rainforests will last for long time and be safer.
